Quilts from the 2009 Wisconsin Quilt Expo, 4th installment

I had a great surprise in the category wall quilts, machine or hand quilted, appliqued. A quilt from a teacher I took a class with last spring. Anne Lullie from Lake in the Hills, Illinois, designed Colorplay III.

Orchidaceous by Stephanie Nordlin from Poplar Grove, Illinois was lovely as well. Beautiful colors and shading and great quilting.

Jeanne Pfister of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, created this first-place category winner, Dresden Delites. The quilting was great and I love how the flowers look like kaleidoscopes.

Summer Jubilee by Monica Troy of Lemont, Illinois, is an amazing feat! Check out the applique and the quilting! The colors, the design, again, I'm always awestruck at these shows and this one was no exception. This quilt won second in the category.

So that's the appliqued wall quilt category. Stay tuned for more in the coming days.
